Hold this temperature for about one hour per ¼ inch (.64 cm) of thickness to relieve stress on your glass art, which will make it less prone to cracking.
Ultra High Temperature Furnaces. For ultra high temperature requirements, MRF has several furnace capable of continuous operating at 3000°C (5430 F). Not many materials can handle these extreme temperatures, hot zones are available in Graphite or Tungsten. MRF furnaces are designed for excellent uniformity, longevity, and ease of maintenance.
Melting Point of Glass. Over the years, the art of glassblowing was achieved in which huge furnaces of high temperature flames are used to melt the components of glass. These inexpensive raw materials are mostly silica sand (a.k.a. silica sand), soda ash (sodium carbonate) and limestone (calcium carbonate).
